YCDT 5100 Management System
The YCTD 5100 Management System is a conditional access system supporting pay TV, providing paying users with access to TV programs according to a specific package, while denying access to others. The system incorporates the core technology required for ultimate protection of program content. Its robust Conditional Access System (CAS) is an absolute prerequisite for any digital television delivery platform.
A conditional access system combines highly complex technologies including encryption/decryption, scrambling/descrambling, as well as network, smart card and database technologies. Security, a critical factor in any conditional access system, consists of two elements: encryption and scrambling. The CAS controls the scrambling of the audio/video stream using a control word (CW).
It also encrypts transmission of the authorization and control information to ensure the safety of the core data and to protect it against hacker attacks.
Applications
· Conditional access control for :
o Regional cable television network systems

| SCS (Simulcrypt Synchronizer Control System) > > > > |
- Sets up the TCP connection with the ECMG and assigns a channel for each connection
- Creates the required stream in the channel and assigns it an ECM_Stream_ID
- Gets the control word from the CWG
- Sends the control word to the relevant ECMG
- Gets ECM information from the ECMG
- Synchronizes the ECM’s CP cycle according to the channel parameter
- Sends the ECM to the multiplexer according to the channel parameter
- Sends the control word to the scrambler according to the CP period

The system infrastructure is compatible with the relevant standards; all the internal and external interfaces are standardized interfaces capable of easily connecting and communicating with third-party systems. The system consists of several independent modules and works with the MUX, scrambler and operating support system to scramble the program, encrypt the information and authorize users. The connection between the EMMG, ECMG and encryptor is encrypted; the encrypted data is sent to the MUX and SCR to ensure the internal security of the system. The network manager monitors real-time system status and connection status and centrally controls the configuration of each module to improve system performance.
Pay TV Operating Support Service Selecting the YCDT 5100 Management System as the reception solution enables operators to develop related services, flexibly control users and improve competence.
Flexible Sales Strategy The YCDT 5100 Management System offers greater programming flexibility to better meet the needs of commercial operators. |
| Practical and Safe Authorization Mechanism > > > > |
- Powerful addressing function:
The YCDT 5100 Management System supports several flexible addressing strategies, enabling operators to send users information in the shortest possible time. The optimized addressing mechanism saves time and bandwidth.
- Powerful information transmission function:
The operator can send information to the user via the YCDT 5100 Management System. Short text messages can be displayed on a TV screen, and longer messages emailed to the STB.
- Support for event-based services:
The YCDT 5100 Management System provides more PPV choices than other CA providers, and supports IPPV, OPPV and VOD services.
- Regional control function:
The YCDT 5100 Management System provides robust regional control and management functions. It can be used to define whether regional users are allowed or denied access to program viewing.
- Parental protection:
The user can set the restriction level for program viewing in the STB, denying children access to programs that exceed the restriction level.
